2007-06-20 When It Rains It Pours

According to Google Earth, it's a 1,260 meters walk from my flat to the place I work. So that's how I usually get there, I walk. Unless it's Friday, of course. On Fridays, I go there by car, because Sascha and I go climbing after work. However, as today is not Friday, I walked. It was a pretty summer morning, the sun was shining, the bird were singing and everything was in perfect order. When I was still 450 meters away from the office, I entered a bakery to buy three pretzels. Starting work at 9.30 am is far too early to have breakfast at home, am I right? Anyway, when I left the bakery no three minutes later, it poured. I wouldn't have thought that 450 meters would be sufficient to get me soaked to the skin, but it was. Now where's my scuba diving suit when I need it?
Okay, enough whining for one day. After all, if it hadn't happened, there would be nothing to blog about today. And I didn't even catch a cold. It was still warm and 30 minutes later, I was dry again. In fact, I dried at exactly the same moment it stopped raining. If that's no reason to stay in bed 30 minutes longer, I don't know what is!

It never rains on my birthday! Thus, I'm pretty sure you made it all up. Or you had a hallucination. This would be also an explanation for the speed in which the weather turned from sunshine to rain AND the pace of you drying afterwards.
Do you sometimes see white mice?
