2007-06-29 Our Vacation
Not much to talk about today. Work was dumb as usual, but I'm tired of writing that over and over again.
Tonight Sascha and I went climbing after a a break of three weeks. I was almost expecting that I had to start with easier walls because I forgot all I learned before. Instead, I improved my average. Cool, eh? Looks like my lazy weeks are over. Good.

Something noteworthy about work. Sorry, I can't help it.
The software we have been working on for two years will be released next month. Today Mr. Big Boss (name changed to protect privacy) came in and asked us to guess what the company invested in the project -- salaries, hardware, software, the whole shebang. I won't tell you the actual number, because a) it could get me into trouble and b) I wasn't paying attention. The noteworthy thing however was Sven's reply. He simply said "our vacation". True that! It doesn't read half as funny as it was in real life, I'm afraid. You should have been there, it was hilarious.
Personally, I believe they could have saved half the money by simply hiring at least one person who has worked on a project of that magnitude before. 'Nuff said.
