There's nothing like a long and exhausting scuba diving training and a cold beer afterwards to wash off a bad day at the office. And what a bad day it was!
Message to the marketing department:
When it starts with "when I present this at a trade show, wouldn't it be nice to...", it's not a bug report. It's a feature request. The time for those is over.
Message to the so-called leadership team:
When it starts with "why haven't you...", it's not a bug report. It's a feature request. The time for those is over.
Message to the chief software architect:
Not to modify a bad feature because that would necessitate a change in the manual is downright stupid. There's always time for that.
Message to myself:
Get out of there as soon as you possibly can.

Here's a list of all the good things that happened today, in the order of their appearance:
- Neverwinter Nights 2 (test version only).
- Another beautiful chat. Again too short.
- A job offer. Somewhat vague, but definitely worth consideration.
- Scuba diving training.
