2008-01-18 Why New Zealand?
Because it is there!
Since the day I started to think about moving to New Zealand (approximately one year ago), people kept on asking that very question. Why New Zealand. And all I could come up was this Malloryesque reply. Pretty lame, even for my standards.
To see if I can make it.
Start from scratch. No friends, no familiar faces, no memories, no obligations.
Because it's as far away as you can get.
So there's no temptation to fly home over the weekend. Even the stars are different from down here! What's the point of moving to another country if everything stays the same?
