2008-01-26 I See Dumb People
Check this out:
It is a gift from Ines. Of course, she's referring to Roy from The IT Crowd. I'm not exactly sure why I deserved such a gift, though. Maybe I underestimate my effect on women. Hee.

In Germany, I used to live a few hundred meters away from a public pool. When I moved in I was planning to go there at least once a week, but I didn't do it. Not even once.* Here in Christchurch, the Centennial is just around the corner, too. That's not going to happen again, I promised myself, so I went there. I swam 750 meters (30 lanes) in a little less than 30 minutes. Not good enough for the Corsair, but it was only training, anyway. And it made me awfully hungry, too.
Oh, and it was also the first time I entered a sauna. Gee, that was hot! (Duh!)

Pak'n Save shopping carts have a seat belt on their children's seat! When I realized that I was too bewildered to take a picture. There are none on the web, either, so I will try and remember to take a few next time I go there.
Mandatory helmets for bikers, okay... but seat belts on shopping carts? I don't know...

I see dumb people. And I am one of them. Why? Because I forgot Uli's birthday. That's why.
* I ended up being a member of the scuba diving club in the next bigger city and going to training once a week there, though. But never to have seen the inside of the pool that's withing walking distance is downright embarrassing.
