2008-01-10 Account! Flat! Booze!
I totally don't feel like blogging right now, although I think I should. So this is just a brief summary of my day. At first, I got myself a bank account. That was very easy. All it took was my passport (the work visa being the important part), a $ 300 deposit and 30 minutes of my time. Done.
Oh, I forgot: When I came to the office this morning, I remembered that I hadn't book another night at the hostel. So I was kind of out of a place to stay. I called them at once, but all they could do was provide for one more night. After that they are completely booked. Dang! So I accelerated and prioritized my apartment search and finally came up with one particular place. I called them and we made an appointment. I went there, looked around and literally asked where I had to sign. So tomorrow before work I'm going to their office and sign the tenancy agreement.
Actually, the place isn't exactly beautiful, but it's a place all for myself. It's a base from where I can start my new life in New Zealand. In other words: it's a start. So yeah. I'm going to post some pictures on the weekend.
Back at work, we had Black Russian at 4:30 pm. Their booze policy is very open minded, to say the last. I really like that place, but either I learn how to say no or I'll ruin my liver.
Okay, that was my blog for the day. That wasn't too hard after all. Not too interesting, either.
