2008-01-13 New Year's Resolutions
Hey, better late than never, right?
For 2008 I decided to keep it simple. Only four New Year's resolutions this year. In theory, that should make it simpler to stick to them.
1) Be awfully good at my job
A new company (Jade), a new programming language (Jade) and last but not least, a lot of new challenges. I'm totally looking forward to working with people who know what they're doing.
2) Don't buy a single book
Instead I'm going to read through the PDFs I collected over the years. Saving up for the road trip. It's the little things. Life is expensive enough as it is.
3) Eat healthy
More fruits and vitamins. Less fast food. "An apple a day..." and stuff like that. Although I'm not too fond of apples. I like oranges, though. And kiwis, of course.
4) Workout before watching TV
No, I don't think I'm too fat. That would be sick. In fact I'm far too skinny. So from now on, before I watch TV, I'll go running for a while, do sit-ups, weight lifting or something else that keeps me in shape.
Of course, that's not everything I've planned to do in 2008. Other things are
- spend real-life time with Kristine,
- learn hang gliding,
- stay in touch with my German friends,
but that's a different category. I'm totally going to see Kristine this year, and if it's the last thing I do. Hang gliding, on the other hand, is just one of these crazy ideas of mine. I'll stop in a second if it turns out that I don't enjoy it. It conflicts with my plans to save money, anyway.
