Check this out! It's a machine that can rebuild itself. A hardware quine! At its current stage it's pretty much useless, but you just have to love the idea. The main point of the project is that it's open source, and that always deserves support.

Nothing else happened. At least nothing that I can remember at the moment. I started reading Stroustrup from cover to cover, but I'm sure nobody cares. I'm also reading 19 Deadly Sins of Software Security, a book that explains in detail why buffer overruns are dangerous and why you should always escape parameters of SQL statements. Nice. The unbelievable irony is that it was written by a guy who works for Microsoft. Imagine that! And he's bashing the C language, mostly because printf supports the naughty "%x" and "%n" placeholder. Which is great, because I didn't even know they existed!
