2007-04-27 "What's With The Hair?"

The only one who ever made a statement about Teal'c's new hair was, of course, Jack O'Neill. (Oh, sorry, I'm talking about Stargate, by the way) I always thought I understood his confusion, but it wasn't until today that I fully did. When Christopher Judge showed up at the Christchurch Armageddon Pulp Expo today, his hair was down to his shoulders!
But you know what? He's a cool dude and not at all like Teal'c (who is also cool, but doesn't exactly smile a lot). He told us why he had a white goatee in a couple of episodes, that his golf handicap improved a lot during the writer's strike and what his favorite scene in The Ark of Truth was. They had shown the movie right before Chris came on stage.

After the Chris Judge panel, a bunch of voice actors asked each other questions on stage, because the audience couldn't come up with any. Time for me to move on.
Next stop: Lisa Furukawa. Never heard of her before? Neither have I, but I'm glad this has changed now. Not only does she make awesome music, she's also very cute. If you happen to like a mixture of Japanese and American music, you should definitely check out her website. There's a free mp3 there, too.

More random remarks from my first comic convention:

- I wish Kristine had been there with me. It would have been much more fun with her and she would probably have known what this "Fairly Odd Parents" thing is all about.

- I can't believe how hot Tracy Scoggins is with her 54 years! And at this very moment it came to me why she looked so familiar! It wasn't her role in Babylon 5, it was her part as Cat in Superman!

- If only I could draw much better. They had some artists there and what they did was just awesome.

- $30 for a single autograph is definitely not worth it. Too bad.

- Wrestling really isn't for me. But so closeup, it was still interesting.

- I'd definitely do it again.
