2008-02-22 Doctor Who
Nothing particularly interesting happened today. I didn't have proper food in a while, so Wei took me to this place where you can get Chinese food for ten bucks. The chef there is a friend of his. It's good to know people who know people who can cook yummy food.
Also, my third vacuum cleaner came. I can't remember if I blogged about this before. The one that came with the flat never worked. So I called the caretaker and asked for a replacement. A couple of days later, when I got home, it was standing in the hall. It didn't have a bag in it, though. Today they delivered a third version. Bagless. I guess I'll have to call them again to cancel the subscription. Or I could put them on trademe (Kiwi version of ebay).

Due to a lack of interesting things in my personal life, I feel the desire to blog about Doctor Who. Until the beginning of this week, I had no seen a single episode. But at Jade, they have a (not quite real) Dalek. They are so sixties! They look like sixties, hey move like sixties, they talk like sixties. But they're kind of cool. If you're into roboters from the sixties.
There are 30 years to catch up on, and I'm really looking forward to it! One of the little things I like about the series (the the third season of the latest incarnation, to be precise) is that they have back references to previous episodes. You don't find that in many shows. I'm surprised that it took a British show about a time traveler more than 30 years to make him go back and meet Shakespeare.
I only saw the very first Doctor in the very first episode before that, so I cannot really compare. But I think David Tennant is brilliant!
