The Handbag Thing
"You're not exactly a genius when it comes to communication."
That's what Uli said to me on the phone when I told her about my communication with an online service that attempts to find cheap flights. It's funny, because I can make a server communicate with a bunch of clients while keeping all data consistent. That's difficult, believe me. But I cannot get my head around the idea that people cannot get their heads around the idea of not wanting to book a return flight. No return. That's what emigration is all about, isn't it. And I said the word emigration, when they called me on the phone. Uli called them, too, and she told me they just didn't get it. What's there not to get?
"One way or return?"
"One way, please."
"When do you want to come back?"
"Huh?"
My oh my...
***
Since I started reading Harry Potter, I wanted to blog about it. But then again, I didn't want to spoil it for anybody, so I didn't. Until today. Never ever would I have thought that there would come a time in my life when I begrudge a woman her handbag. But Hermione has me here. Her handbag would solve all my logistical problems! I want it!
