Gort! Klaatu Barada Nikto!
During scuba diving training today, I discovered a new way of swimming: on my back with the head under water. In the long run it's annoying, but for a while it's fun! The world looks almost the way it does with normal swimming, only topsy-turvy. The surface of the water can still be seen as such, but instead of heads sticking out of it, you see heads sticking into it. And you have to put your head "down" to breathe in. The air that's breathed out goes "down", too. A snorkel is useless, because it points into the water.
Another fun thing to do under water is to blow air rings. It's like smoke rings, only healthier.
In October, when I'm going to New Zealand for job interviews, I'm totally going to see the Rainbow Warrior. Today I browsed the web for more information on scuba diving and the pictures I saw made my mouth water! I wish I had an underwater camera, but I suppose I need a diving computer and a regulator first...

In case you were wondering, the headline is a quote from the movie I just saw, and has nothing to do with New Zealand or scuba diving.
