The Dark Knight

This was the last day of my vacation and I learned one thing: I miss my work.

Okay, CTRL+Z. That was by no means the right way to put it. Here's the story: Sascha and I were climbing again and I didn't do so well. I just lacked motivation. Like Batman, who has this raging fury inside his mind, I'm a much better climber when I just came from work. One week at this company helps me to accumulate exactly the right amount of hate and tension that enables me to go up walls.

So, am I happy that I can get back to work next week? Heck no!

The book I'm currently reading is Starship Troopers. Unlike the movie, it's not at all violent. It's more like the biography of a soldier in the future. It uses a military education to describe the social structures in this future, not unlike Animal Farm uses a ranch to do the same thing. Someone as easily influenced as me can feel like a stupid civilian at times, regretting that they didn't go to the army. I recommend this book to everybody who thinks soldiers are nothing but a dirty crowd, likes to read about fictional social structures or simply enjoys a good euphemism. Here are my favorites for the death of a soldier: "he bought it", "he bought a farm", or simply "real estate deal".
