2007-09-02 Sport Spiel Spannung
(written 2008-02-24 for the sake of completeness)
Today was "Sport Spiel Spannung" (sports, game, excitement) at the scuba diving club. Obviously, that's the name of an old German TV show. I didn't know that before -- must be really old. In pairs of two we had to complete several task to collect points.
- Put on a shirt under water: take the gear off, put on the shirt, put on the gear. The catch here is that the gear keeps one under water. So letting to would be bad.
- Count the marbles in a pillowcase. The pillowcase was sewn up, so the eyes were pretty useless here. And the taste of sense is not the best when you're wearing neoprene gloves.
- Answer questions about scuba diving. Like "What does the Boyle-Mariotte law describe?". Should be rather easy for divers, but it's also easy to confuse it with Gay-Lussac's Law. Just for myself, here's the right answer.
Boyle-Mariotte: p1V1 = p2V2.
Gay-Lussac == P/T = c.
My buddy and me managed to collect enough points for me to win a pair of gloves. Nice!
