The day started like any other day this month. But at around elven o'clock, the sky turned from bright and sunny to almost black in about half an hour. Then it rained really hard and there were several power cuts for five or ten minutes. Fifteen minutes later the show was over and the only thing that proved I didn't make it up was the fog in the trees. In reality it was much more beautiful than in this picture. You should have been there.

Today I took my seventh outdoor dive and got my CMAS * Bronze Brevet, which means that I can go scuba diving without a trainer by my side. From now on, a CMAS *** Gold buddy will be sufficient. Scuba divers have a funny way of talking sometimes. For example: A fish that doesn't move around much "stands" at it's current position. Pikes (esox lucius) stand a lot. Branches and twigs under water sometimes form a shape that almost looks like a tree without leaves. I never would have thought that one day I would see a pike standing in a tree!

Here are some photos from our climbing tour last Sunday:

Welcome to Rhineland-Palatinate!

A good spot for show-off pics. Too bad we only thought of it when it was too late.

There's a good reason why the thing on my head looks like shorts...
