2008-03-29 Bargain Day
Saturday. Nothing exciting during the day. Shopping. Cleaning. Cooking. Slacking. I continued to work on Kristine's birthday gift, but obviously I can't talk about it just yet. I wouldn't even mention it here, if not for two reasons. Firstly, I don't have much else to write about today. Secondly, teasing is kinda fun :)
Oh, there is one thing that might be worth mentioning, since there's nothing else to talk about. I bought a shirt for $4.99 today. Actually it was more like $29.99, but last time I bought stuff they gave me this $25 voucher which expires by the end of the month. So I got this shirt. That's what I call a bargain, although I wouldn't mind if they would sell things cheaper in the first place. Marketing, I guess.
I'm going to wear it to Anca's Party tonight. I'm totally looking forward to it!

Always read the backside of your gift vouchers. They print instructions on it. Typically it boils down to:
- If you forget to cash in on your voucher, we lose (because you won't show up in our shop)
- If you throw away your voucher [same]
- If you cash it in and buy only one item of approximately the voucher value, we don't gain much. Go away. Save and come back later.
- If you cash it in AND buy goods for about triple the voucher value, THEN our investor relations progtam will really skyrocket.

Marketing.
And... they let you in to New Zealand. They are expecting something back. Read the immigration info sheet again. Fourth paragraph on the second page, about "proper citizenship, buying local and loyalty".
Versau es nicht.
