2007-12-09 Couch Potato

Sonja stood me up :'-(
Actually she wanted to come over today so that we could make Christmas cookies. But yesterday she remembered that I live too far away. Ah well, I hate farewells anyway...

Instead of having fun with Sonja, I carried another load of stuff to my parents' place. Not quite as much fun, but I needed to go there anyway, because the results of my medicals have arrived. Tomorrow I'm going to send them to the embassy. Hopefully that will be fast enough for them to return my passport in time. 16 days and counting!

This morning I woke up on my sofa, five meters or so away from my bed. That has never happened before. Usually, I can still make it to my bed when I'm tired. More often than not, I'm already in bed when I get tired, the laptop on my bedside table and the lamp equipped with a timer. Preparation is everything. I don't know what was different yesterday evening, but it made me wonder: do I really need a bed? Fox Mulder always sleeps on his sofa. I believe that a comfortable sofa is the key feature of a bachelor. And a huge TV, of course! I wonder what my place in New Zealand is going to look like. It's definitely not going to have a TV in it, though.
