2008-05-06 Five

Three things may be worth blogging about, today. At my standard, anyway. The flu immunization at Jade, the fact that my bedroom is reasonably warm now, and the second Japanese lesson.

1) We had a free flu immunization at Jade today. My parents have been telling me to get one for five years now, and finally I did. Mediocre yay for that. But to be honest, I didn't do it for the immunization. I did it for the biscuits. But it wasn't worth it. I donated blood once, and the biscuits there were much better. Too bad I'm not allowed to donate blood anymore. But that's another story to be told at another time.

2) My bedroom is reasonably warm now. Enthusiastic yay for not freezing to death in your sleep. But before I'm going to put more cheering into it I'd rather wait for the electricity bill.

3) Japanese rocks! It's awfully difficult, though. Which is good, because after all, I'm not doing it to learn a new language, I'm doing it for the challenge. My goal is to know the complete Katakana (ワーキング タイトル) and Hiragana "alphabets", as well as at least ten Kanji symbols by the end of 2008.

Motto of the day: Make more mistakes faster. Maybe Graeme didn't invent it, but at least he's the one who said it to me first. I hope I'm up to it. Unfortunately, the amount of mistakes I make has been decreasing recently.
