2007-04-28 Hay Fever Sucks
This year's early summer gave my hay fever a head start. It's been a while since I last had a nosebleed from it, but today it happened twice. After diving training (curiously it's not that bad when I'm in the water) I bought some food. When I came home I was almost too tired to put it away before I fell into my bed and slept two hours straight. Last year I bought pills against my allergies, but I couldn't find them anywhere. That will be the first thing I'm going to do on Monday. Tuesday is a legal holiday ("Tag der Arbeit" -- Labor Day) and I want to go on my second dive outdoors. But if I cannot control my nose, they won't let me. Sneezing is not such a good idea when you're five meters under water, they said...

I finally finished Stars Like Dust. Reading these 182 pages took me way longer than I'd expected. Ten years ago, I used to breathe in books like that in less than a day. Nowadays, it takes me approximately one month. Dozing off before having read ten pages is a crying shame, but I guess that's the way it is when you don't start before midnight and try to get up early. Also, writing a summary for every chapter doesn't exactly accelerate the whole process. But that's another story to be told at another time...
