2007-04-10 Alive

My bike chain is torn. Again. About a month ago I had it fixed for good money, and today it happened again. Shit. I'm going to take it back to that shop and I'm so going to tell them what I think of the quality they sell...

Today was a rather boring day. I went to work and went home again, that's it. Then I watched Memento. Didn't understand it, though. There is this guy who chases his wifes murderer and he doesn't have a short-term memory. Naturally, this makes the chase difficult. To make the viewer understand exactly how difficult things are, the story is told backwards. Freaky movie and I'm not going to recommend it. If you like movies with a twisted timeline, you should watch The English Patient or Pulp Fiction instead. They don't give you this what's-the-point feeling.

I've been asked what my favorite song is and I din't have a clue. Usually, it's the lyrics, rather than the melody, that get to me. For quite a while it was Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time, but they played it at the funeral of a former classmate six years ago. The way I feel today, I would say Alive is a good choice.
