2009-11-08 Where Was I...

Q: How do you get six months behind on a project (or a blog, for that matter)?
A: One day at a time.

The trip to the Philippines (Manila, Boracay) and Europe (Germany, Italy) was just too much to keep up with. And after that I just got lazy. Whenever I thought of something I wanted to blog about, I wouldn't do it because I thought I had to blog about the trip first.
Guess what... I'm not going to!
Well... not right away, anyway.
I still haven't sorted all the photos. Not because there are so many. Just because I'm lazy and can't be bothered.

Here in New Zealand, you can buy raw kangaroo meat for your cat. I find that so bizarre that I couldn't help but buy a can. And Walter loves it. He's an even more tiggerific bouncer now!

Home improvement 101:
1. Steal a cup from the mad hatter's tea party. Check.
2. Put a plant in it. Check.
3. Blog about it. Check.
4. Bath in the jealousy and adoration of your readers. To be done.

After a major embarrassment, I decided to commit my entire home folder to SVN. The embarrassment was this: Mario asked me for some code that I wrote recently (within the last six months) to create this:

And since I kept on developing, I couldn't reproduce the same results. So basically, I wrote a cool program, was proud of myself for a little while, and then sort of destroyed it. Now there's a waste of time if I ever saw one. In the future, I can just go back in the repository to the date when I posted the video. Easy. Not sure why I haven't thought of that earlier.
