2009-11-13 More Random Pictures
There isn't much to say for today. In spite of the rain we went to Akaroa. That's a small semi-french (!) town on Banks Peninsula (the bump in the middle of the east coast of the southern island of New Zealand). We even saw a snowflake or two on the way. At least it had stopped to rain by the time we got there.
I would post pictures, but there isn't much to see, really. We almost spent more time on the road than at our destination. And the few pictures we did take are downstairs.
Oh the laziness.

But worry not, my most valued reader. I have found two old pictures that I haven't gotten around to posting yet.
I found this one in the office supply closet at Jade (my old job). I know that it's immature, but the word "topless" made me giggle.
This one on the other hand left me speechless. On my first or second day at Telogis (my new job), I was searching the water cooker. They have cups, free tea bags, sugar and even cookies (not to mention the unlimited supply of fruit and sprite, but that's neither here nor there), but they did not seem to have a water cooker. And then I realized: with a tap like this, there is no need for one. Believe it or not, but this tap dispenses boiling water. Isn't that the bestest invention since bread came sliced? No more waiting for the water to cook (and we all know what happens if you watch the pot) and no more not finding a power outlet (there seems to be a law in this country that no room can have more than two). It's absolutely fantastic. Instant. Boiling. Water.
